As of November 2017, over 39,322 people have been detained and put into camps (immigrationjustice). And due to President Trump’s zero tolerance policy, that number has significantly risen as well as 2,551 children have been separated from their parents many under the age of 5(nbcnews).
From cold, tight quarters to threatful comments, the biggest fear that parents faced was knowing that their child was okay and that they would be reunited again. Many feeling pressured to drop their cases in order to be reunited with their family.
