Their dreams have turned into nightmares.

In 1776, the United States of America was founded on the right to freedom and follow their dreams in the pursuit of happiness. Those who not only founded the US, but fought for our independence were immigrants, people who left their homeland for a better life. Yet the word immigrant has taken on a new definition, from a word that meant that a person came to live in a foreign country permanently, now takes on new meaning from each person to the news article that makes its way onto social media. Due to growing economic debt and lack of jobs and housing, tensions arise causing many to forget our past and the dreams that first founded our nation. Leaving people that first loved and cared for one another to turn their backs against each other in fear of not being able to keep a job or provide for their family. But we are all the same, we all have ONE HOME, ONE DREAM.
